Estes V. Owens
Pickens, SC
Estes V. Owens, 78, of 1217 Meece Mill Road, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Claude J. Owens and Addie Hoxit Owens.
Mr. Owens was retired from the county of Pickens and was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of the home, Irma Lee Galloway Owens; a daughter, Cathy Diane Clark of Pickens; a son Larry Michael Owens of Pickens; two grandchildren, Frank Lollis and Cathy Lee Lollis; three great grandchildren, Brandon Lollis, Dylan Lollis, and Ryan Lollis; and two sisters, Louise Aiken of Pickens, and Loretta McConnell of Easley.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Edith Cassell and Gracie Ellison; and three brothers, William Owens, Lester Owens, and Otis Owens.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow in Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home.
