Esther J. Keb, 82, of 1700 I Street, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010, at 11:55 p.m., at Golden Living Nursing Home, in La Porte. Esther was born on April 19, 1928, in South Bend, Indiana, to Harvey and Gertie (McCarter) Nixon. She married Edwin H. Keb in 1946. Edwin passed away, after 63 years of marriage, on October 29, 2009. Upon their retirement they moved to Tampa, Florida, and delivered the Tampa Tribune Newspaper. Esther is survived by her sons, Harold H. (Arline) Keb of Plymouth, Indiana and Tom (Becky) Keb of La Paz, Indiana; her sisters, Gloria (Jake) Taylor of South Bend, Juanita Cummins of La Porte, and Marilyn (Kent) Figg of South Bend; her brothers, Carl (Lou) Nixon of Plymouth, Donald (Kay) Nixon of Mishawaka, Indiana, Robert (Kathy) Nixon of South Bend, and Larry (Margaret) Nixon of La Porte. There will be no visitation or funeral. Burial will be in Porter Ray at Potato Creek State Park Cemetery, North Liberty, Indiana.
