ESTHER KNIGHT SEARLE Loving wife, mother, and grandmother returned home on March 25, 2010. She was born on September 10, 1931, in Hinckley, Utah, to Samuel and Martha Knight. She married Tex Searle on October 18, 1950, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They would have been married 60 years this fall. They have four children, Doug (Mona), Vicki Haight, Kevin Searle, and Shawn (Kirsten) Searle. She has ten grandchildren, one great-grandson, and a great-granddaughter who is due to arrive on April 13. Esther loved to travel and did so extensively throughout Europe and the United States. She loved to socialize and many of her beloved friends were there to greet her when she arrived home. Esther was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She honorable served in many callings during her lifetime. Esther loved sports and excelled as a softball player. She also loved BYU football and she and Tex drove with their friends in their van to many away games. They were known as the Gray Cougars. Esther is survived by her loving husband who devotedly took care of her for the last several years of her life. She is also survived by three of her four children, one brother, Chester Knight, and her beloved sister Rachel Spor. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin Searle, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cascade Chapel at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and also Tuesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, Provo, UT.
