Graveside services for Esther Rose Knox, 94, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Knox passed away Saturday morning in a local nursing home. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Esther was born on January 25, 1918 in Marshall, Texas to George and Bena Mack. She was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed serving her community in numerous other civic organizations, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Longview. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dr. Sam Mack; and her sister, Vicki Thomas. Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Debbie Knox; her grandchildren, Charlie Knox and Greg Knox; her brother Dr. Edward Mack and his wife Alicia; her nephews, Dr. Kelly Mack, Dr. Chris Mack, Dr. Andy Mack, and Dr. Ben Mack; and her sister-in-law, Marion Mack.
