ETHEL MARIE HAWLEY MISER

Ethel Marie Hawley Miser, 93, of Glen Daniel, passed away November 3, 2011.
Born July 10, 1918 at Lester, WV; she was a daughter of the late Roy W. and Nora Brown Hawley.
Marie loved to quilt, crochet, and knit. She attended Trap Hill High School and worked at local convenience stores in the Glen Daniel and Fairdale areas for about 15 years.
She was a member of the Coal Marsh Missionary Baptist Church in Glen Daniel, WV; when she would visit her sons, she would attend church with them.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 59 ½ years, James E. Miser; a brother, James W. Hawley and a grandchild.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Ronald Miser and wife, Edith of Clinton, OH and Denver Miser and wife, Garnette of Pylesville, MD; a daughter, Mary Milam and husband, Roy of Prince George, VA; four brothers, Marvin Hawley of Lester, WV, Clifford Hawley of Elk Ridge, MD, Roy D. Hawley of St. Albans, WV, and William Hawley of Charleston, WV; a sister, Carol Sue Hawley of Fairlawn, NJ; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00PM Monday, November 7, 2011 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Rev. Carl "Dickie" Sellards officiating. Following the services Marie will be laid to rest beside her husband, James at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until 9:00PM Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the funeral home.
