Etta "Betty" Elizabeth Huskey, 72, passed away at her residence March 3, 2011. She was a native of Annapolis, MD and was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna Britton. Betty was a former secretary/accountant for Atlantic Energy. She loved golfing, bowling, camping, dancing and singing, and was a member of the Husketeer Cancer Walking Team. She is survived by her husband, Gerald D. "Buddy" Huskey; one daughter, Linda Huskey Diggs of Chesapeake, VA; and one son, Gerald "Buddy" Huskey, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA. She is also survived by a sister, Ellen Cardinalli of Front Royal, VA; her brother, Edward Britton of Grand Junction, CO; eight grandchildren, Darryl Huskey, Daniel and Darren Michalski, Justin, Bryan and Shira Seaton, and Nathan and Alex Huskey. Betty is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren. The family wishes to give a special thanks to her caretakers, daughter Linda, Hospice nurses Debbie and Laudrea, Pastor Evelyn Lee, and all her visiting friends during her last peaceful days. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel. Burial will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
