Eugene J. (Stretch) Stirnkorb, 83, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Madison Health Care Center in Indianapolis. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, he worked as a tool & die maker with ITT for 41 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Trinity Suburban Lutheran Church, and was an avid fisherman and former basketball player for Farnsworth Manufacturing. Surviving are his daughters, Linsee (Bruce) Montigney of Greenwood, IN, Tracee (Scott) Orum of Fort Wayne; sons, Kurt L. (fiancee, Danielle Weingart) Stirnkorb of Chicago, IL, Eric E. Stirnkorb of Columbus, OH; grandson, Troy Montigney . He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lorie Stirnkorb in 2009, brother, Robert Stirnkorb, sister, Marcella Barry. Service is 2 pm, Friday at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling also, 3 to 7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
