Eugene Covington Rowland, a resident of Luling, he died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Cannon Hospice in Jefferson, LA. He was 72. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Zoar Baptist Church in Baton Rouge from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation on Saturday, August 18, 2012 will be held at Wanilla Baptist Church, 997 Smith Ferry Road, Monticello, MS beginning at 12:00pm. Bro. Chad Carney will conduct religious services at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Martha Long Rowland, one son, Jeffrey G. Rowland and fiancé Kim Newell, three daughters, Kim Sibley and partner Angie Fruge, Kelly Hopkins and husband Harvey, and Kristi Landry and husband Roger, one brother, Tommy Rowland and wife Kay, three sisters, Glenda Fontenot and husband Robert, Virginia Hathcock and husband Charles and Jane Shepard and husband Jay, thirteen grandchildren, Cody, Haley and fiancé Stephen, Jordan, Ryan and wife Megan, Shelby, Kirby and fiancé Lindsey, Ashley, Michael, Taylor, Tommy, Kyle, Logan and Riley and five great grandchildren.
