Eugenie L. Buerger, 57, of Wausau passed away October 8, 2011. She was born on August 23, 1954 in Orange County, Florida to Eugene and Lorraine (Kohn) Grebe. She married John Buerger in Wausau on July 20, 1991. Eugenie was remembered as a helpful person and loved children. She enjoyed music, singing, playing piano and guitar, and writing songs to praise the Lord Jesus. She is survived by her husband, John; son, Shannon Duskey (Tammy McFann); grandchildren, Shawn and Liea; brothers, Jeff and Jess Grebe; sister, Sherry Grebe; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be at 12:30 pm on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Christian Assembly, 400 Grand Ave., with the Rev. Dennis Romine officiating. Private burial will take place. A memorial fund has been established to help the family with expenses. You may sign the family guestbook at www.helke.com.
