Eunice Lorraine Gregory Wonnacott, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on October 25, 2010. She was born on February 20, 1920 to Harry and Mabel Langton Gregory in Salt Lake City, Utah
Lorraine graduated from West High School and attended L.D.S. Business College. As a young woman, she worked as a secretary for the L.D.S. Church, UEA, and Robison Machinery.
She married F. Wesley Wonnacott on June 13, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had four children: Brent, Julie, Marsha, and Richard.
Lorraine was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving as ward Relief Society president and Primary president. She was the Primary pianist for many years and served in numerous other callings throughout her life.
Lorraine loved music and sang with the Wasatch Suburbanettes, a women’s barbershop chorus.
Lorraine was kind to everyone she met and loved her family very much. She was a wonderful example to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Wes, children: Brent (Connie) Wonnacott, Julie (Scott) Bringhurst, Marsha (Larry) Nielsen, and Richard (Tammy) Wonnacott, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and brother Keith Gregory and her beloved dog, Maggie. Preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Dick and Ronnie.
The family would like to thank Envision Home Health & Hospice…especially Brooke and Bonnie, for their kind and tender care of our dear mother.
Funeral services will be held at the Ridgedale Ward (3400 So. 1100 East) on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at noon. There will be a viewing at the ward on Thursday evening, from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South.
