Eva B. Roy
May 18, 1926 – April 17, 2011

Eva B. Roy, eighty-four years of age entered her eternal home in Heaven on April 17, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in this Homegoing by Mr. James Rogers Roy, her husband of 34 years and her parents, the late Fulton and Edna Broadrick. Her survivors include six children: Bruce Roy of Harvest, AL , Maretta Oswald and her husband John, of Montgomery, AL, Joran Clements and her husband Dean Lexington, SC, Roger Roy and his wife Tina of Woodstock, GA, Kelly Royand his wife Susan of Albertville, AL, and Larkin Roy of Dalton, GA. The godly heritage of Eva Roy also includes 18
grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: Lawson K. Broadrick and his wife Kay, Ray C. Broadrick and his wife Pat and Joe Lippard her brother-in-law. She is also survived by a host of dear, precious family and friends to whom she was affectionately known as “Mama Eva”. As a Huntsvillian of 56 years, Eva was involved in many areas of this city. She was a member of the Rock Family Worship Center, worked for over 13 years as a Tupperware manager, owned and operated Roy’s Flowers for 8 years, and volunteered in organizing the West Mastin Lake Baseball Women’s Auxiliary. On Wednesday, April 20, 2011 her children will receive guests from 10:00-1:00 at Rock Family Worship Center. The service will be at 2:00 at the Rock Family Worship Center with internment at Valhalla Memory Gardens. In honor of their mother, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Eva B. Roy Memorial Fund at BB&T Bank for her great granddaughter with Cystic Fibrosis or to Choose Life.
