Geneva Curry Gibbons was born November 14, 1941 to the late Richard Styles and Trudy Mae Berry in Kathleen, GA. She met and married the late Jim Taylor Curry and conceived her first child, Julius. Shortly thereafter, she and her family moved to Paterson, NJ in 1958. Later, she conceived three more children, James, Jennie and Jerome. Geneva later married the late Douglas Gibbons, Sr. and raised two additional sons, Tyshon and Douglas. Hobbies - Geneva, who everyone referred to as "Mom", loved going to church and spending time with God. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking. She was loved and adored by all, as she gave so willingly of herself to help others. Employment - Geneva's career expanded over forty-eight years as she worked as a Silk Finisher at Monterey Cleaners and White Leaf Cleaners of which she retired from. Faith - A devoted Christian, Geneva was a member of Reborn Deliverance Church, Paterson, NJ where she served for many years. Furthermore, prior to her departure, she ellowshipped with Whole Life Community Church of Paterson. Geneva had great faith and would always say, "Watch as well as pray." Family - Geneva is now joined again with her parents, Richard Styles and Trudy Mae Berry; husbands, Jim Taylor Curry and Douglas Gibbons, Sr.; her son, Julius Curry her brothers, Roosevelt Turner, Billy Durham, J.L. Berry, Johnnie Styles, and Richard Styles, Jr. Geneva is survived by: her sons, James Curry, Jerome Curry, Sr., Tyshon Gibbons and Douglas Gibbons, Jr.; her daughter, Jennie Kearney; sisters, Annette Styles, Rosa Styles, Linda Styles, Maybelle Styles, Patricia Styles, Gussie Styles, Joyce Ann Styles, Louise Durham, Penny Durham, Pat Durham, Amogene Durham and Thelma Bonney; brothers, Johnnie Styles, Nathaniel Styles, Bennie Durham, and Sammie Berry; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; son-in-law, Michael Kearney; daughters-in-law, Tanya White Curry and Keziah Gibbons; sister-in-law, Lynnette Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grandnephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors.
