Evaristo R. Landin, Jr., a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in San Antonio at the age of 54. Mr. Landin was born on May 22, 1957 in New Braunfels to Evaristo R. Landin, Sr. and Teresa McKinnis Landin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evaristo R. and Teresa Landin. Survivors include his loving wife, Delia G. Landin; daughter, Nicole Landin and fiancé, Josh Speck, and son, Andrew Landin. During his professional career, he was employed by Waterpark Management INC. As a kid, he grew up playing baseball then later coached his own son and many others in little league and loved watching his son play high school and college baseball. In addition, other past time activities included family vacations, and you could always find him by his Bar-B-Q pit on the weekends. If anyone needed help with a benefit plate sale he was always quick to lend his Bar-B-Q skills. He was a loving, dependable, and very hard working and caring man who will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel, 1254 Business 35 N. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The funeral procession will depart from the Lux Funeral Home Chapel at 9:45 AM on Monday, July 25, 2011 for a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church in New Braunfels.
