Evelyn E. Ide, 90, a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 31 years, departed this life Friday, October 21, 2011.
Mrs. Ide was born in Providence, RI and moved to Port Saint Lucie from Narragansett, RI. She was a communicant of St. Lucie's Catholic Church, a Eucharistic minister, a minister to the homebound, a religious teacher for 20 years and a lector at funerals.
Mrs. Ide was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Stephen R. Ide, her sisters, Lilly Hamel and Dorothy Clarke, and her brother, Ted Collins. She is survived by her sons, Stephen R. Ide, III, of Cranston, RI, and J. Christopher Ide, of Alexandria, VA; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 25th, at Forest Hills Funeral Homes – Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel in Port Saint Lucie.
Arrangements under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel in Port Saint Lucie.
