Mrs. Evelyn P. Schaffner, 73, of Gratz, PA, passed away Monday, November 15th, 2010 peacefully at her residence. Evelyn was born in Lykens Twp, Pa. on July 12, 1937, the daughter of the late Emery and Henrietta (Weiss) Sitlinger. She was the wife of Haven Schaffner. She was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church Gratz, PA . She was employed as a factory worker at Dormar Shirt Factory Gratz, PA.,

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Haven Schaffner of Gratz, PA; a daughter, Vicky Bush of Bethlehem, PA; and one grand daughter, Sasha Schaffner of Gratz, PA.

Evelyn is also survived by four sisters, Margaret Reitz of Dillsburg, PA; , Bonita Bowman of Tower City, PA; Arlene Sitlinger of Lykens Twp; and Phyllis Sitlinger of Lykens Twp, three brothers, Robert Sitlinger of Lykens Twp; PA; Wayne Sitlinger of Gratz, PA; and Alvin Sitlinger of Hegins, PA. she was preceded in death by one sister, Hilda; and by two brothers, Carl and Russell Sitlinger.

Religious Service at Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, PA, at 11AM on Thursday, November 18th, with Rev. Barry Ridge officiating. Interment at Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz, Pa. Family request donations to Simeon's United Lutheran Church Gratz, PA 17030.
