Fannie Bellis

Loving Mother, Grandmother Canandaigua: Fannie "Fay" (Barber) Bellis, age 95 of Wilcox Lane, died, Thursday, January 28, 2010 at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. She is survived by 3 daughters, Helen Weeks of Rochester, Sara (Harry) Hathaway of Orlando, FL and Barbara Galens of Clifton Springs; 8 grandsons; 7 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; brother, James Barber of Geneva; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Vivian G. Bellis in 1984, grandson, Jeffrey Hathaway, stepson, Achiel Bellis; son-in-law, Edward J. Weeks. Mrs. Bellis was born in Rochester and was the daughter of James and Helen (Wilcox) Barber. She was formerly of Chapin where she was a member of the Chapin United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bellis was a gifted artist, painting with water colors. She enjoyed spending time with her family. There will be no calling hours. Her funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in Pine Bank Cemetery, Cheshire.
