Loving Mother, Grandmother Canandaigua: Fannie "Fay" (Barber) Bellis, age 95 of Wilcox Lane, died, Thursday, January 28, 2010 at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. She is survived by 3 daughters, Helen Weeks of Rochester, Sara (Harry) Hathaway of Orlando, FL and Barbara Galens of Clifton Springs; 8 grandsons; 7 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; brother, James Barber of Geneva; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Vivian G. Bellis in 1984, grandson, Jeffrey Hathaway, stepson, Achiel Bellis; son-in-law, Edward J. Weeks. Mrs. Bellis was born in Rochester and was the daughter of James and Helen (Wilcox) Barber. She was formerly of Chapin where she was a member of the Chapin United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bellis was a gifted artist, painting with water colors. She enjoyed spending time with her family. There will be no calling hours. Her funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in Pine Bank Cemetery, Cheshire. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 15 Prince St., Rochester, NY 14607.
