Clyde, Fannie Jane Ledford, age 100, of Deer Trail drive, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Kirkpatrick Rathbone. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Ledford, who died in 1978; one daughter, Edna Ledford; one son, James Thomas Ledford; four grandchildren; two sisters; and four brothers. She was baptized at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church, loved flowers, and was a member of the Salvation Army. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Henson of Canton and Martha Massey of Clyde; three sons, Dennis Rathbone and Milas Ledford of Clyde and Earl Ledford of Georgia; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Moore, Reverend Ronald Greene, and Major Jean Freese officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to family.
