ROUSES POINT-Faye E. Gregoire, 81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at CVPH Medical Center. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She was born March 19, 1930 in Noyan, Quebec, the daughter of James Warren MacCallum and Vera (Hoag) MacCallum.
Mrs. Gregoire married Gerard R. Gregoire and together they raised four children. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Rouses Point. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, crocheting and quilting.
Faye worked for several area businesses including a managerial position at Pearl's Department Store in Rouses Point and positions with Wyeth Ayerst Laboratories and Ben Franklin General Store, also of Rouses Point.
She is survived by her children, Warren Gregoire of Queensbury; Kyle Gregoire of Alburg, Vermont; her daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen (Gregoire) and Steven Boire of Chazy and Karina (Gregoire) and Steven Barie of Norton, Massachusetts; her brother, Neal MacCallum of Rouses Point; her sister Jacqueline O'Brian of Rouses Point; her six grandchildren, Lauryn, Keith, Jacob, Casey, Corey and Britt; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gregoire was preceded in death by her husband Gerard R. Gregoire, two brothers, Leo MacCallum and Robert MacCallum and one grandchild, Travis.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 p.m for calling hours, with a funeral service immediately following.
Donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Gregoire to the Rouses Point Rescue Squad.
