Mrs. Faye Fargason Smith Brannan Krauss, age 99 of McDonough, Georgia passed away November 22, 2011. She was born in McDonough to the late Simeon Elliott and Olla Bibb Fargason Smith. She was preceded in death by husbands, Leva Frank "Pike" Brannan and Roy Krauss. Faye was a 1930 graduate of McDonough High School and was the oldest member of Timberridge Presbyterian Church, where she was the church pianist for 50 years. She had attended 99 campmeetings at Shingleroof Campground and had worked at the Holiday Inn as a hostess and in the gift shop. Flower, as she was known by her grandchildren, enjoyed flower gardening, redecorating, sewing and was an avid reader. Survivors include her daughters, Brenda B. (Henry) Taylor of McDonough, Genie B. (Walter H.) Bogart of Clarkesville; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 25, 2011 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Timberridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Friday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
