Ferne Leone Anderson, 93, of Moline, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Heartland Health Care, Moline, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, IL. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Burial will be at Woodhull Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Leone was born on October 9, 1918 in Ophiem, IL the daughter of Arthur and Agnes Rehn. She married Virgil Anderson on June 18, 1950 in Woodhull, IL. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1973.
Leone worked for 25 years as a bookkeeper for Plant Equipment Company in Rock Island. Leone was a former member of Faith Lutheran Church for 59 years as well as a former member of Naomi Circle at Faith Lutheran Church. She was more recently a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. Leone enjoyed sports very much, especially the Bulls and Illini. Above all, Leone was a huge Cubs fan and she had been attending Cubs games since WWII. Leone very much enjoyed meeting with friends and family for lunch at Culver's on Saturdays.
