Fidel Gromelio Suarez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012, surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Suarez, a native of Cuba, has lived in Louisiana since 1967 where he retired from Shell Oil Co. in Norco, LA. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elsa Gonzales-Quevedo Suarez, along with children and their spouses: Elsa and Octavio Estorino, Antonio and Ro-An Suarez, Marlene and Robert Estorino, Alexis and Melissa Suarez. Grandfather of Vanessa, Amanda, Jessica, Wayne, Jason, Kaylan, Monica, Victor, Marco, Andre, Alexis, Lola and Elsa. Also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Brother of Emma Lopez, Joseph Suarez, and preceded by Nievelina Hernandez and Iroenia Suarez. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park.
