Unfortunately, I am just so out of my normal life routine that Sunday came and went. I realized I'd missed it this morning and felt terrible. I had been talking with Trudy Bebenroth and Joyce Seney about it. So, I knew it was the Sunday before Mom's. I just thought I had one more Sunday in between. I got lost in my days.

Please know that your parents were like a second set of parents when I was growing up. I will never forget how often they were there for Ed and I over the years. Barb and I had great times and an almost perfect childhood, thanks to our parents. I know your mom and dad really suffered through Barb's accident and years of coma. So, they had heartbreaking life from that point on, but it hardly ever showed to the rest of us. I'm not sure how this affected you, but I'm sure it did.

At any rate, Ken, I send you my most heartfelt sympathies. I am so sorry your mom went in such a horrific way, but we know where she is now. You were a good son to her. She was lucky to have you and your wife.
