Florence Louis, 42, of Gwinn, died unexpectedly, Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Marquette General Hospital. She was born January 2, 1969, in Detroit, MI, a daughter of John Louis and Vera Hurt. Florence was employed for several years as a bus driver for the SMART system in Detroit. She is survived by her mother, Vera Jackson of Gwinn; and a sister, Romika Glenn of Romulus, MI. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 3 p.m. in the Canale-Gwinn Funeral Home with Rev. Geri Hamlen officiating. Interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit, MI at a later date. The Canale-Gwinn Funeral Home is assisting the family where memories may be shared at www.canalefuneral.com
