Florence Mae Stehle, 89, of Mansfield, died late Thursday evening, February 19, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She had been a resident of Woodlawn Healthcare and Rehabilitation the past four weeks. She was born May 2, 1919, in Richland County. Florence retired from Taylor Metal after 23 years of service. She had attended St. John's United Church of Christ and enjoyed auctions, garage sales, Bingo, and her trips to Wheeling, WV and Las Vegas.
She is survived by two children, Carl (Dianne) Stehle and Carole (Richard) Johnson-Orsborn, all of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Mary Ann (Ron) Sellers of Strongsville, Andrew M. (Carrie) Stehle, Rebecca J. (Walter) Clay and Timothy R. Johnson, all of Mansfield, Keith E. (Alyson) Johnson of Gahanna; six great-grandchildren, Brennan Robinson, Breanna Jones, Tyler and Nicholas Stehle, Owen and Marley Johnson; step great-grandson, Julian Sellers; two nephews; two nieces; special friend, Nellie Dewalt of Mansfield; and special feline friend, Tuxedo. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Minnie (Eggerman) Schaus; grandson, Scott D. Johnson; brother, Edgar R. Schaus; sister, Evelyn M. Schwartz; nephew, Roger Schwartz; and feline companion, Socks.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2009, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
