Florence J. Moody was the third child born to Ora Lee Sykes on November 25, 1928 in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Florence moved to St. Louis at age ten. She received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Fairfax Baptist Church. Florence attended Cole Middle School and graduated from Sumner High School. Florence was the proud, loving and devoted mother of Donald G. Venerable, Stanley E. Johnson, Regina A. Whitfield, and Judy E. Johnson. Florence later in life married Joseph L. Moody. Florence was affectionately known as MiMi to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Florence was called home on October 30, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital to be with the loved ones whom preceded her in death; her mother, son, Stanley, husband Joe, three sisters, Geneva, Helen, Evelyn and one brother, Leroy. Florence leaves to mourn one son, Donald, two daughters, Regina "Gina & Judy "Cake", four grandchildren, Lamont (Dallas, Texas), Tracy, Jacques (Tracey) & Jihan "KiKi", three great-grandchildren, Nia, Jordan, & Lamont, Jr. "Monty", one brother, Elbert "Junior", two sisters, Eunice (James) & Frances, one uncle, Willie (Berniece) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and dear friends. To my kids, grandkids and great-grand kids, continue to LOVE one another and stick together. And remember that I will always love you!
