Floriene Krause, 82, of Greeley passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at NCMC. She was born August 16, 1927 in Greeley to Jake and Leta (Urich) Hergenreder. She grew up on the farm and went to school in the Galeton and Gill area and graduated from Gill High School in 1945. Floriene worked for Capron Truck Company and Hendric and Bolthoff as a bookkeeper and telephone operator for Mountain Bell. On January 30, 1949, she married Ernest Bob Krause and after raising her two daughters, began working for School District 6 as a lunchroom manager for 22 years, retiring in 1991. Floriene attended St. John’s United Church of Christ all of her life and enjoyed volunteering with the church, as well as with School Districit 6, Boy Scouts, Colorado Ag, United Way and many other organizations through RSVP. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, fishing and traveling when her health permitted. Survivors include her husband, Bob and their two daughters, Debra Krause of Fort Collins and Diane M. Burton and husband Dan of Loveland, 3 step-grandsons and 4 great-grandchildren as well as an aunt, Mrs. Olinda Hoff of Fort Collins and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Hergenreder. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Service 10 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2009 at St. John’s UCC. Private family interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. John’s UCC in care of Allnutt, 702 13th St., Greeley, CO 80631.
