Floye J. Reeves Howe, age 85, of Maumelle, passed away December 29, 2011. She was born May 11, 1926, in North Little Rock, a daughter of the late John and Maude Reeves. She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. "Buddy" Howe. They were married 63 years prior to his death on September 21, 2005. Mrs. Howe was also preceded in death by brothers, John, James and Arvid Reeves; sisters, Estelle Niehaus, Maud Quick and Clara Mae Reeves.
Survivors are her brother, H. P. Reeves (Abbie) of Warren; sister, Wanda Oates of Texarkana, Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Ruth Slovak of Pasadena, Texas; her daughters, Sharon Mase (Dawson) of Houston, Texas; Judy and Linda Howe both of Maumelle; grandsons, William Webb (Jessica) of Pine Bluff; Nathan Webb (Julie) of Mayflower; Kyle Mase (Brandi) of Conway; seven great-grandchildren; and a numerous nephews and nieces.
The family will receive guests at their home from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, December 30, 2011. Graveside service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, with the Reverend Johnny Jackson officiating. Services are under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. 501-661-9111.
The family requests donations to the American Heart Association or the Pulaski County Humane Society, in lieu of flowers.
