Frances "Busia" Rys Samreta, 94, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012. Born in Gary, IN, Frances was a geriatric technician and translator for Catholic Charities. Frances was a member of St Jude Catholic Church, Polish National Alliance, charter member and past recording secretary, St. Joseph Hospital Auxillary and Catholic Women's Club.

Surviving are her son, Joseph (Ellen, deceased) Samreta, daughters, Virginia (Donald) Harrington, Barbara Crick, Christine Samreta and Carol (Nick) Woehnker, Sisters in law, Ruth Urbanski and Lottie Urban, grandchildren, Cathleen Janette, Scott Joseph, Joseph Andrew, Mark Roger, Julie Rey, Amy Kathleen, Michelle Denise and Mary Ellen, great grandchildren, Joseph Alexander, Madison Anne, Andrew James, Brooke Christine, Drew Joseph, Ashlyn Grace, Amelia Lynn, Mark Roger, Joshua James, Aidan Eugene and Abigail Frances. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Ludwik and Stephanie Rys, husband, Joseph L. Samreta, sister, Janet Rzepka, brothers, Edward Urbanski and Charles Urban.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Shoemaker officiating, calling 1 hour prior to Mass. Calling also 1-4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m.
