Frances Durham was born on December 25, 1926 in Middleburg, North Carolina, daughter of Anna Faines Cousin and William Cousin. She was joined in holy matrimony to Maurice Julius Durham and this union was blessed with five children, Maurice, Sallie, Caster, Harold and Dale. They moved their family to Kenilworth, New Jersey where they joined St. Paul A.M.E. Church. A faithful member, Frances would serve as Steward, Missionary and Choir President. Frances was employed as a Shop Steward at the Holiday Inn in Kenilworth and retired in 1986 after 15 years. Frances Durham departed this life on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Manor Care Health Services in Mountainside, New Jersey at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice Julius Durham on September 14, 2009. She leaves to cherish fond memories, her children, Maurice M. Durham (Joan) of Plainfield, NJ, Sallie R. Days (Victor) of Newark, NJ, Caster D. Durham (Margaret) of Vauxhall, NJ, Harold A. Durham (Denise) of Roselle Park, NJ and Dale N. Durham Kenilworth, NJ; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Sallie Sullivan of Spring Valley, NY; 2 brothers-in-law, Walter C. Durham of NC and Wilbur L. Durham Rahway, NJ, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Frances Durham.
