Frances E. Clark, 85, of the 900 block of State St., Chesapeake, VA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 7, 2010, in her home. Born in Raven, VA, Frances attended Cedar Road Chapel. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Earnest L. Clark; a daughter, Linda C. Hartman and husband Bobby of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Herbert Hess of Austintown, OH; two grandsons, Steven R. Hartman and wife Melissa of Chesapeake, VA and Rev. Joey Hartman and wife Erin of Hampton, VA; and three great grandchildren, Jonathan, Katelyn and Wyatt. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel with Pastor Joey Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
