She was born July 2, 1914 in Wilmington, Vermont, the only child of Frank and Clara (Eaton) Allen. Her parents traveled cross country and settled in the Seattle area where childhood memories were made playing with friends on the streets in front of Smith Tower. In 1968 they were selected and honored as Whatcom County Dairy Family of the Year. Frances, a socialite at heart, loved any opportunity to visit with family or friends; go shopping; do errands away from the farm; and she was an active member of the Eastern Star, Nooksack Chapter #17 for over 50 years. Her husband Bill died in 1978 and Frances later married Macrae "Mac" Stone. Mac and Frances enjoyed traveling to Asia and throughout the US; and especially enjoyed the country atmosphere of Nashville, TN and Branson, MO. Later in life, she enjoyed entertainment at casinos with friends and playing her $20 limit.
