Frances Eve (Pettis) Livinghouse, 79, of 201 Webster Avenue Plymouth, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, with her family by her side. Frances was born February 16, 1932, to Jess and Eve (Long) Pettis, in Culver, Indiana. She grew up in Culver and graduated from Culver High School. On February 13, 1951, she married Dale Livinghouse, in Burr Oak, Indiana. They moved to Plymouth, where she spent the rest of her life. Frances worked at Felke Florist, Pizza King, and the License Bureau (fondly sharing that she was probably the only person who worked in a License Bureau, that didnt drive). She was a practicing Christian Scientist and was a member of the Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts. Frances was an avid walker and many people, in the Plymouth Community, knew her from seeing her on her daily walks. She had a great love for all children and enjoyed watching many of them, play at the park across the street, from her home. She knew all of the children in her neighborhood and dearly loved them. She was an active member within her community for many years. Frances was kind to everyone she met. She was a Democratic Party Activist all of her life. She is survived by her husband, Dale Livinghouse; their children, Michelle Livinghouse (and Frank Filson) of Plymouth and David Livinghouse (and Kris) of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren, Shiloh Carothers Fonseca of Plymouth and Jess Livinghouse a student at Loyola University, in Chicago, Illinois; her great-grandson, Timothy Fonseca of Plymouth; her sister, Betsy Pettis Kridner (Richard) of Warsaw, Indiana; her niece, Thania Harris of Warsaw; and her nephew, Phillip Colgrove of Mattoon, Illinois.
