Frances Margetts Wilson age 88 passed away on 02/01/2011 at her home with her children surrounding her. Born October 16,1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John McDonald Margetts and Cacia Lenzi Folsom. Married to William Egan Sylvester, later divorced. Married to Rulon H Wilson on January 24,1975 in the Salt Lake Temple, sealed on June 24,1975 Rulon preceded her in death January 31, 1993. She was greatly loved by family and friends for her laugh, her funny stories, and her unflinching love for people. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having served and taught in the Relief Society Presidency, Young Women Presidency and Primary Presidency. She regularly attended the temple. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Survived by one son, David W. Sylvester (Sharol), four daughters, JoAnne Sylvester (Gary), Patti Deen Howard (Ray), Jill Marchbanks (Dan), Connie Eicher (David) ; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, brother Lynn Folsom Margetts (Blanche). Preceded in death by daughter Kathleen Susan Sylvester, sister’s Afton Rose Woffinden, Cacia Lavon Margetts, Rhea Ann Wilson. Brothers Jack Lawrence Margetts, Hyrum Russell Margetts and George Phillip Margetts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday February 5th at 12:00pm in the McKay Ward Chapel, 1623 South 500 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the Church. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. Funeral Directors are Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah.
