Frances Kitchin Baker, 85, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Sentara Leigh Hospital. She was born in St Pauls, North Carolina on April 26, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Mozelle Vestal Kitchin and Jack F. Kitchin, Sr. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Robert L. Baker. She is survived by three sons and was a loving mother to Thomas Keith Baker and wife of Warrenton, VA, Robert Wayne Baker of Warrenton, VA and Joe Ames Baker of Melbourne, FL. She is also survived by two grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Joanne K. Walski, Malinda K. Boren, and Eloise K. Walton; two brothers, Jack F. Kitchin, Jr. and Paul M. Kitchin; two nieces; seven nephews; two great nieces; and five great nephews. Frances loved her family unconditionally and cherished all of her friends. She was especially devoted to her granddaughter, Amy Leigh Baker who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis in 2004. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 6568 Indian River Rd., Virginia Beach on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. The family would like to thank Beth Shalom for the wonderful care given to our loved one.
