Francis E. Harrington, 85, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Keokuk, IA, he worked as a Terminal Manager with Citgo/Cities Service Oil Company for 35 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of American Legion Post 241 and was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran. Surviving is his wife, Dona J. Harrington of Fort Wayne; daughter, Sandra (Fred Sheets) Hetrick of Fort Wayne; son, Stephen Harrington of Key Largo, FL; grandchildren, Gregory (Emma) Hetrick of Columbia City, and Brian Hetrick of Fort Wayne; sister, Yvonne (Richard) Blake of Grandville, MI; and brother, Harry (Leatha) Harrington of Porterville, CA. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary Harrington; and son, Robert Harrington. Mass of Christian Resurrection is 10am Saturday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road with calling one hour prior, Fr. David Rupert officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Friday at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
