Francis E. Messenger, 79, a resident of Port Saint Lucie since 1993, departed this life on October 23, 2011.
He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and moved to Port Saint Lucie from his home in Connecticut.
Mr. Messenger was the former owner of R. Place Café in Bridgeport, CT, and retired in 2001.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mildred Messenger, daughter Linda; son Joseph; son Kenneth; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and sister, Alberta Tancos.
He was preceded in death by sons, Richard and Stan Messenger.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to Forest Hills Funeral Home Byrd, Young and Prill Chapel in Port Saint Lucie, FL.
