Francis Harris "Butch" Cohan II, of Virginia Beach, VA, left us on Jan. 23, 2012. He was a graduate of Princess Anne High School, attended Old Dominion University, and earned his Bachelor's degree in 1968 as a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon. Butch was a self-made successful businessman, as the proud owner and President of Virginia Equipment & Development (VED INC.) who would genuinely do and say what was right as he measured all by friendship. He was an avid waterman for life and loved all things outdoors including fishing, boating, diving, and watching ODU Monarchs football games with his wife Jules. Butch is survived by the love of his life, Julie "Jules" Anne Cohan (wife); mother, Pearl Cohan; daughter, Dawn Cohan; son, Scott Cohan; sister, Michele Lachtara; stepchildren, Mason Green and Charlie Green. Services will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation, ATTN: Jena Virga, 4417 Monarch Way-4th Floor, Norfolk, VA 23529-0201.
