Bleicher, Francis P. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Bleicher, age 83, died Wednesday March 14, 2012. Francis was born in Petoskey on July 24, 1928 to the late Charles J. and Sarah (Bourrie) Bleicher. He lived in Cheboygan, Michigan until age 13 at which time the Bleicher family moved to Bay City. Francis attended St. Mary's Catholic School where he graduated in 1946. He met his life long friends at St. Mary's ; Tom Gallagher, Bob Miller, Tom Sequin, John Runberg and Milt Brissette. He joined the Air Force in 1948 and served until 1952. After service, Fran attended the apprenticeship program for electricians for Local #692. He was an electrician for 38 years and retired in 1990. He married Geraldine (Chickie Sanders) in 1956 at Holy Trinity Church. They have six children and ten grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, children Paul Bleicher and his daughter Kristie; Anne Bleicher; Joseph Bleicher and his wife Amy and their three children, Nick, Zack, and Kiah; Mary (Bleicher) Brown and her husband Neil and their two children-Caleb and Sarah; David Bleicher and his wife Jody and their three children, Michael, Matthew and Marissa; Jennifer (Bleicher) Jeske and her husband Michael and their son Parker along with his nieces and nephews. He was the "hub" of our family and he will be deeply missed! He was predeceased by his 3 brothers Milford, Joseph, Charles and sister Carol. At Fran's request cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday March 22, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Inurnment in Calvary Cemetery will take place at a later date. Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Wishes of the Family.
