Francisco H. Hernandez, better known as "Frank" or "Grandpa", was born on November 17, 1930, in Mexico.
He passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2012, in Stockton, CA, after a lengthy illness that he endured with family by his side.
He is survived by his immediate family, Mary H. Moreno, his loving companion of 45 years; his children, daughter Teresa M. Hernandez, Stepson Joseph L. Moreno and Daughter-in-Law Gina W. Moreno; his grandsons, Gabriel Hernandez, Matthew Hernandez, Joseph A. Moreno, Anthony L. Moreno, and Edward J. Moreno; and dog, "Shirley".
At an early age Francisco migrated to the United States via the Juarez, Mexico border over 60 years ago. As a young man, he worked hard and learned to be resourceful with earning from day labor. He eventually retired in 1996, from Ridgemark Golf and Country Club where he dedicated over 25 years of service as a Greenskeeper in Hollister, CA.
He loved golf, bargain hunting and telling stories about his adventures as a young man.
According to his wishes, Francisco will be cremated and his ashes will remain with family. A small funeral service is pending.
