Frank A. Hartsaw Sr., 89 of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. He was born June 6, 1921 in Cloverdale, Indiana, the son of Jesse Hartsaw and Esther (McKee) Hartsaw. In 1954 Frank established and owned the East Lincolnway Mobile Home Court, he worked at Soetje Ford for eleven years and in 1960 he started to work at the LaPorte Auto Supply, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed camping and working on cars. On May 6, 1943, in Bloomington, IN, he married Wanda Summitt Hartsaw who preceded him in death November 7, 2004. He is survived by his daughter - Darilyn (Don) Lowery of New Carlisle, IN; son - Frank "Jr" (Stacie) Hartsaw, Jr. of Fish Lake, IN; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three step- great-grandchildren, and one great great grandaughter. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Catherine Hartsaw. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Wednesday, August 25, 2010 10:00 am, until time of services. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday August 25, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Larry Owens officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Frank A. Hartsaw, Sr.
