FRANK JAMES REID

Frank James Reid, 77, of Glen Morgan, passed away November 5, 2011.
Born August 15, 1934 at Affinity, WV to the late George and Annie Harrison Reid.
Frank loved hunting, fishing, cooking and was really good at fixing things, and loved to travel, and was of the Protestant Faith.
This decorated veteran served his country proudly in the US Army making that his career, he served two tours in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. After retiring from the military he taught mechanics and had the first women's powder puff class to work on cars at Raleigh Co. Vocational School.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Reid.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife and childhood sweetheart of 31 years, Page Taylor Reid; a daughter, Patty Shupe and husband, Jack of Topeka, KS; a grandson, Joseph Stephens; a granddaughter, Becky Headrick and husband, David of Tunnel Hill, GA; a great-grandson, Derrick Headrick; a son Vern Renninger of Beckley, two sisters; several nieces, one nephew, and a host of extended family and friends also survive
A memorial service will be held at 7:00PM Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Von Sadler officiating.
Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until service time at the funeral home.
