Franklin Jefferson, affectionately known as Frankie, was born on April 9, 1964 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Frankie was born the youngest of eleven children to the Late Wesley and Viola Jefferson. At birth, having been given a life expectancy of two years, Frankie cheated death and lived to be 47 years old. He celebrated life each day and would often remark about just how wrong those doctors were. Frankie attended John P. Stevens High School in Edison, New Jersey. He joined the Cerebral Palsy Family of Middlesex County in 1983, where he worked for several years. Frankie had a sweet spirit. Although faced with physical challenges, he never let it get him down. He always kept a happy and cheerful disposition. He greeted each day with a smile and a positive attitude. One of Frankies favorite things was listening to music. He could sit and listen for hours. Frankie also enjoyed a good party. He loved to laugh and have a good time. Frankie loved his family dearly, as well as his cerebral palsy family. He had a warm heart and was loved by many. Frankie passed away peacefully in his home on January 25, 2011. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Kenneth, and two sisters, Omega and Naomi. He leaves to cherish his memory; four sisters, Thomasina Harley, Lucille, Charlotte and Alice Jefferson; two brothers, James Fordham and Wesley Jefferson, Jr.; stepmother, Lillian Jefferson; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Fordham and Jo Ann Jefferson; stepbrothers and sisters, and a host of nephews, nieces and dear friends.
