Fred B. Anderson, husband of Lois Powell Anderson, passed away September 20, 2011.

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late George and Nina Simmons Anderson. He was a veteran of the US Army and Korean War.

Fred was retired from Mayfair Mills and a member of East Pickens Baptist Church.

Surviving are his 2 sons, Terry Michael (Dona) Anderson, of Pickens, and Rick (Kim) Anderson, of Anderson; 6 grandchildren, Terry Michael (Ashley) Anderson, Jr., Isaac Ballenger Anderson, James Ross Anderson, Kelly Renee Anderson, Heather Leigh (Gary) Roberson, and Elizabeth Nicole Anderson; 3 great grandchildren, Trey, Jessie Grace and Gabriel; one brother, James Ray (Nancy) Anderson; one sister, Georgia (Rick) Simmons; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Anderson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Alvin Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23, 2011 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:30 – 2pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Pickens Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2244 Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens, SC 29671.
