FRED C. SUTTON, DED, age 87 of North Olmsted died peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 7, 2012; He was the beloved husband of Clarissa (nee Hein) and the late Dorothy; loving father of Kathryn Olds (Jeffrey), James (Bethany), Richard and Scott (Anne); dear step-father of Robert Lane (Vickie), Stephen Lane, Phillip Lane and Eric Lane (Amy); grandfather of 6; brother of Paul (Doris) and the late Carl. Fred was born on January 3, 1925 in Minerva, Ohio. He served in the Army as an Infantry Medic during WWII. Fred attended several colleges and received his Doctorate in Education in 1961. He was employed as a counselor until 1963 and then moved to Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland as Dean of Technical Studies until his retirement in 1993. Following retirement, Fred taught part-time at Cuyahoga Community College and Baldwin Wallace in the Institute of Learning in Retirement until 2009. Memorials may be forwarded to Cuyahoga Community College Foundation (Technical Education), 700 Carnegie Ave., Cleveland, 44115 and/or St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 6901 Ridge Road, Parma, OH 44129. Funeral services will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 6901 Ridge Road, Parma at 11a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Cremation by Busch Crematory. Private Inurnment at Brecksville Cemetery. Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 RIDGE RD., PARMA FROM 2-4 AND 6-8 P.M. ON TUESDAY AND ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SERVICE AT ST. MATTHEW LUTHERAN CHURCH.
