Fred Darrow Warren Jr., 65 of Escatawpa, MS. Passed away Saturday January 10, 2009 in New Orleans, LA. He was born on April 30, 1943 in Kansas City, MO.
Mr. Warren was a resident of Jackson County, MS; for over thirty years, he was a retired controller for MS. Phosphate Corp. in Pascagoula, MS; he was affiliated with the Jackson County Port Authority, he was an avid bowler and a member of the Jackson County Bowlers Assoc, and a member of the Pascagoula Elks Lodge #1120. He attended Kansas State University, he was also dedicated New Orleans Saints fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Warren Sr. and Lorene Warren Romdall. He is survived by his wife Sondra Warren of Escatawpa, MS; his children Terri (Todd) Dahlgren of Apex, N.C.; Fred (Allison) Warren III of Houston, TX; Thomas (Renee)Warren of Keller, TX; Liz Nord of Ocean Springs, MS; Steven (Jackie) Granja of Warwick, R.I.; Jeff (Julie) Granja of Sacramento, CA; his sisters Jeanne Kuhnert of Independence, MO; Joy (Mike) Hobick of Kansas City, MO; brother Barry Romdall of Independence, MO; 15 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be Thursday January 15, 2009 from the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00pm with Father Michael Austin officiating, the family will accept friends one hour prior to service time.
In lieu of flowers family request donations in the name of Fred Warren Jr. to the American Cancer Society. Fred will be remembered for love of his family, his quick wit, big smile, and compassion for everyone. We loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed.
