BLAZENKO, Frederic October 30, 1918 – June 15, 2012 Frederic Blazenko passed away at Bethany Care Centre on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the age of 93 years. Frederic will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Lionel (Ruth) Blazenko and Ronald (Barbara) Blazenko; grandchildren, Greg Blazenko, James Blazenko, Jennifer (Trevor) Grieve, Ben Blazenko, Kyle (Danielle) Blazenko and Katie (Nick) MacKrory; seven great grandchildren; and many more family and friends. Frederic was predeceased by his parents, one brother and granddaughter Shelley Wutzke. Born October 30, 1918 at Chipman, Alberta to his parents Mike & Pearl Blazenko, Frederic came to Calgary where he met and married the love of his life Gunvor Lynnes. Fred & Gunvor played in a band for many years, he also enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling and playing Crib. Thank you to the Bethany Care Centre for all the kindness and care you have given our Father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Funeral Services will be held for Frederic at Hillhurst United Church, 1227 Kensington Close NW, on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev John Pentland officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca. Arrangements are in care of PIERSON'S FUNERAL SERVICE.
