OLIVER – Mr. Frederick "Fred" P. Oliver aged 55 passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Lottie Oliver; brother, Cecil C. Oliver II. Surviving are his children, John (Kylee) Oliver, Shannon (Justin) Chess, Natashia (David) Goodman; grandchildren, Hunter, Paityn, Justin, Shelby, Sabria, Shaylee, Dylan and Skyler due later this month; brothers, Raymond (Teresa) Oliver, Virgil (Sally) Oliver II; sisters, Judy Oliver, Cheryl (Nathan) Meade, Leslie (Ted) Meeuwenberg; 8 nephews, 6 nieces, 15 great nephews and 12 great nieces; close friends, Matt Taylor, Doug Dupont, Nan and Sherri Spence.
Visitation will be held Monday July 9, 2012 from 6PM to 7PM with a time of sharing at 7PM at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave.
Fred enjoyed bowling, fishing with family and friends. He enjoyed playing football during his High School years with the Rockford Rams. Fred enjoyed going to the Whitecaps games. Special thanks to his youngest brother Virgil who made his final wish come true taking him to his final Grand Funk Railroad Concert. He was very active with sports, including baseball, football, skiing and loved riding motorcycles. Fred attended GRCC and Nursing School. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids during the holidays.
Even though his nephew Chad is not here physically Fred knew that Chad's heart is with him… "I will celebrate your life at a Tiger's Game when I come home. Love you Unc"
A special thanks to his son, John (Kylee) for putting his Dad above all else.
