Frederick R. Dale, age 79, of Hot Springs passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011.
He was born January 28, 1932, to the late Plumer and Pearl Dale in Hot Springs, AR. He was a graduate of the Hot Springs High School Class of 1950; a veteran of the U.S. Navy and received the National Defense Service Medal; a graduate of the University of Arkansas, member of the SAE fraternity; past President and Co-Founder of the Hot Springs Savings and Loan; past President of the Home Federal Saving and Loan of Ada, OK; and a real estate agent with Meyers Realty starting in 1993 before retiring with ERA Rushing McAdams Polychron Realtors in 2011. He was the Hot Springs Board of Realtors' 2007 Realtor of the Year and President of the Hot Springs Board of Realtors for 2007. His community service and other organizations served included the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Hot Springs Civil Service Commission, the Hot Springs Lions Club, the Garland County Industrial Development Commission, the U.S. Savings and Loan League, the YWCA, the United Way of Garland County, the Salvation Army, the Special Olympics, and the Lake Ouachita Camping Association.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Karla Dale of Hot Springs; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bill "Pops" Muse; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Gene Riley of Hot Springs, Karen "K-K" and James Montgomery of Hot Springs, Kelli and Branson Mulburger of Oklahoma City, OK, Kristi and Darren Clinton of Ada, OK; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Jennifer Dale of Collierville, TN; seven grandchildren; and on great grandchild.
Memorial services will be 2:00pm Tuesday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Hot Springs Lions Club.
The family is truly grateful to the many caregivers at St Joseph Hospital, Garland Nursing Home and Rehab, and to the many friends that have provided their unconditional care to Mr. Dale over the last several months. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
