Freida Opal Bishop Stewart, 91, passed away Wednesday at her home. She was born October 23, 1919 in Hollywood, Alabama to Jones and Evie Bishop. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years, Orban L. Stewart, and their daughter Wanda Frances Stewart Bill. She was a member of Southside Baptist church in Huntsville and had worked for the Selective Service. Survivors include her son-in-law T.C. Bill, of Huntsville, her granddaughters Alicia and her husband Robert Tweedie of Huntsville, and Lara Rogers of Moulton, her great grandson Shane Rogers of Moulton and his wife Sasha, her sister Sybil and her husband Lee Hinman of Huntsville, brothers J.C. Bishop of Tennessee, Aubrey Bishop of Tennessee, Bill Bishop and his wife Aretta of Tennessee, and Charles Bishop and his wife Rachel of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday March 25, from 5 to 8pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Saturday, March 26 at 11 am at Valhalla Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the March of Dimes in her name.
