Services for Frieda Ann Ewald, 68, of Deanville, are set for 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2010, at Strickland Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m., also at the funeral home. Mrs. Ewald passed away December 7, 2010 at her home in Deanville. Frieda was born January 10, 1942 to Monroe Stuenkel and Nola B. Holz Stuenkel in Lockhart, Texas. She married Walter L. Ewald on February 13, 1957, in Austin, Texas. Frieda loved to be outdoors and enjoyed working in her flower garden. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law; Lawrence (Sonny) Ewald of Deanville, Bobby & Debbie Ewald of Levytown, PA, Jimmy & Penny Ewald of Caldwell, Jeff & Kathy Ewald of Caldwell, daughters and sons-in-law; Carol & Harvey Livingston of Caldwell, Linda & John Dana of Bryan, brothers and sisters-in-law; August (Gene) & Ann Stuenkel of Lockhart, Bert & Louise Stuenkel of Austin, thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Frieda is preceded in death by her husband Walter, her parents, a son; Russell, a sister; Norma Sprouse, and an infant brother.
